Following the announcement that Pensana is building the world's first rare earth processing hub powered by offshore wind last week, we are delighted to announce that Humber HR people have been selected to provide HR and Talent Support to the project.
Pensana will use the low-cost and resilient supply of low-carbon electricity to power the Saltend separation facility. This will be one of the first major rare earth separation facilities to be established in over a decade and the first to be established in a Freeport. The project will create 450 jobs during construction and 125 high-value full-time jobs. Once up and running, the facility will produce 12,500 tpa of TREO including 4,500 tpa of NdPr oxides ~5% of 2025 world demand.

Humber HR People’s Managing Partner, Kate van der Sluis commented:

“We are looking forward to working with the region’s best talent in chemical and manufacturing to support this world-class facility.

The availability of highly skilled and experienced people in the Humber region was key to Pensana’s investment decision.

We have a regional HR team that will be reaching out to develop key conversations in the coming weeks and month with key stakeholders and we look forward to working with colleagues at Pensana.”

Humber HR People was established in 2019 by a team of consultants with both national and international HR experience. The business supports SMEs across the region with both HR and Talent Management.
