About Focus Counselling
Established in 1997, Focus Counselling Services is a leading provider of NHS talking therapies, employee assistance programmes and counselling courses across the Yorkshire and Humber region. Working with Humber HR People
Focus Counselling partnered with us to build their HR foundations and progress through our Growth HR Model, a structured pathway that helps employers move from baseline compliance to genuinely best-in-class people practices.
Through HR Protect+, the team has had ongoing access to expert HR advice, regular check-ins, policy updates aligned to UK employment law, and the practical support of our HR Breakfasts and Sounding Board lunches, opportunities to share challenges and learn alongside other regional business leaders.

Focus Counselling has achieved Fair Employer Level 1 status, confirming their policies and people practices are compliant with ACAS best practice. The team continues to work towards Fair Employer Level 2 (Good Employer), demonstrating an ongoing commitment to developing their people.
