In this workshop, we will cover simple recruitment processes that work, how to find and recruit the right people and how to work with recruitment agencies. We will also touch on diversity and inclusion and keeping it legal.
Introduction to Employment Law
In this workshop, we will focus on the basics of employment law covering Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), Bullying and Harassment and Rights of Working Parents.
Interviewing Skills for Managers
In this workshop, we will cover pre-screening techniques, interview preparation, and how to acquire candidate information. We will also look at the after interview process.
Investigations, Disciplinaries and Grievances
In this workshop, we will cover the four types of dismissal, disciplinaries including investigations, outcomes and appeals and how to manage both formal and informal grievances.
Managing the Informal
In this workshop, we will cover employment relationship, employee engagement and why it is important. We will also focus on informal management tools including a review of the different stages of the employee life cycle; how to manage probation; how to give informal feedback to keep performance on track and how to handle difficult conversations;
Managing Sickness Absence and Health Related Capability Concerns
In this workshop, we cover managing short-term and long-term absence, capability dismissal on the grounds of ill health and how to manage mental health in the workplace.
